2017 Annual General Meeting
The Chair advised that despite a difficult 2017, the Community First Responder, CFR, support scheme was still financially sound and particularly well equipped. The new Scheme car,a former rapid response SKODA pilot, was now operational and was awaiting revised decals to be applied Six trustees remain with CFR Becky Morriss replacing Mike Brain who has resigned due to a combination of workload and health issues.
Immediately tollowing the AGM the trustees held a further meeting to discuss the way forward for 2018. Subsequently it was decided that John Barlow should take ove the Chair's role to overcome the potential confict of interest of resigning Chair and WMAS Governor John Davies. Trustees expressed their sincere thanks to John for his efforts over the last 3 years, particularly 2017 which has been a difficult year. Tranining for potential CFRs is to be discussed with the WMAS General Manager, Nick Henry, in January. Once training opportunities are finalised there will be a promotional exercise in the local press.
The next Ordinary Trustees Meeting will be held at the Crown PH, Tiddington, on 6th February at 8pm
